Contraindications. Who is not suitable for yoga?

The benefits of yoga for the human body are undeniably high. But, despite the whole range of positive effects from classes, not all people can practice. Before you do, we recommend that you read the list of contraindications.

In what cases is it not recommended to engage in a general group:
oncological diseases;
organic damage to the heart (ischemic disease, aortic aneurysm, tachycardia, atrial fibrillation and others);
hypertension uncompensated;
blood diseases;
gallstones larger than 3-4 mm.

Some of the contraindications, such as postpartum, post-traumatic and post-operative periods have time limits. For example, if you had a natural birth, then you can return to the mat in 1.5-2 months. In the case of a caesarean section, you will have to wait six months. But you can perform meditation practices even immediately after the baby is born.

Important! If you have a diagnosed medical condition and are in doubt about whether you can exercise, consult your doctor.
